On the 26th of October, an introductory seminar session with PhD and PDEng students from various overlapping projects took place. The multidisciplinary team focusses on problems and improvement projects in supply chain logistics. Topics covered, among others, simulation, business logic, data mining, blockchain technology, and big data. Representatives from the departments of Industrial Engineering and Business Information Systems (IEBIS) and Pervasive Systems from the University of Twente joined this meeting.

The purpose of this meeting is to provide an informal platform which enables the participants to discuss, for example, their progress, problems and use cases. It also functions as a source of inspiration and testbed for further project work. Another aim of the periodical sessions is to accelerate individual contributions and to better oversee the larger picture. Together we can do more. It is expected that this meeting and upcoming meetings will lead to more substantial individual and collective contributions. We are looking forward to fruitful sessions.
